Over 10s Sodium Fluoride Toothpaste 2800ppm
Over 16s Sodium Fluoride toothpaste 5000ppm
(Please note further prescriptions in the community should come from dental practitioners (not GPs)
Note - exception for head / neck cancer and palliative care patients - see below.

Routine prescribing of medicines or preparations for dental conditions (including toothpastes such as Duraphat®, ulcer healing preparations, antibiotics and analgesics) on GP FP10 prescriptions is not recommended except in the following circumstances:
- After head and neck cancer treatment on the recommendation of a Head & Neck or Restorative Dental Consultant; OR
- For patients receiving palliative care as part of ongoing symptom control.
