For OCD, NICE recommend initial treatment should be with one of the following: fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline or citalopram (off label).

For use where ordinary tablets are not suitable.

Fluoxetine dispersible tablets are the more cost effective option in patents without dysphagia.
Fluoxetine oral solution and dispersible tablets are clinically interchangable for oral use.

Clomipramine should be considered in the treatment of adults with OCD or BDD after an adequate trial of at least 1 SSRI has been ineffective or poorly tolerated, if the patient prefers clomipramine or has had a previous good response to it.
