Important

For OCD, NICE recommend initial treatment should be with one of the following: fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline or citalopram (off label).

Clomipramine should be considered in the treatment of adults with OCD or BDD after an adequate trial of at least 1 SSRI has been ineffective or poorly tolerated, if the patient prefers clomipramine or has had a previous good response to it.

Important

100mg/5ml concentrate for oral solution - REQUIRES DILUTION

Reserve for patients who require a liquid formulation where an alternative SSRI liquid (citalopram drops, escitalopram drops or fluoxetine liquid) are not suitable.
Note – Dose must be diluted with 120mL of water, ginger ale, lemon/lime soda, lemonade or orange juice.
