Restricted to specialists in this area only - Dose pentoxifylline 400mg MR twice daily with Vitamin E 1000units daily. Start 1 week before extraction and for 3 months after (until good healing is observed)

Important

osteonecrosis of the jaw, ORN, ONJ

FOR ORAL SURGEONS ONLY: 1000units alpha tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E) daily together with pentoxifylline 400mg MR tablets TWICE daily. Prevention: 1 week before extraction and continue for 3 months (until good healing had been observed). Treatment to be continued long term until healing is observed. Liquid is restricted to patients with swallowing difficulties.
