Important Information :
Use in accordance with NICE TA1172 for patients if, in prevous migraines:
- at least 2 triptans were tried and they did not work well enough, or
- triptans were contraindicated or not tolerated, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and paracetamol were tried but did not work well enough

Surrey & Sussex Area Prescribing Committee (APC)
The Surrey & Sussex APC approved atogepant for acute treatment of migraine in line with recommendations made in NICE TA1172.
Atogepant for this indication will be considered as GREEN on the traffic light system for patients if, in previous migraines:
- at least 2 triptans were tried and they did not work well enough, or
- triptans were contraindicated or not tolerated, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and paracetamol were tried but did not work well enough
