Committee Recommendations (2)

Orodispersible amlodipine tablets were agreed by the APC as a lower-cost alternative to amlodipine oral solution / suspension.

Orodispersible tablets and oral solution should be reserved for use in patients who cannot swallow a tablet.

GENERIC amlodipine has been considered by the PCN and has been assigned a GREEN traffic light status.

NOTE - the branded product, Istin, was considered BLACK at the PCN in May 2017.
