The Surrey & Sussex Medicines Safety & Quality Committee have agreed the adoption of the former Sussex patient information leaflet to support patients prescribed generic dapagliflozin. The leaflet provides patients with important information regarding safety and side effects and what to do to help prevent them.
The Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System Area Prescribing Committee has agreed that dapagliflozin will be the preferred SGLT-2 inhibitor in type 2 diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease and Heart Failure
The Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System Area Prescribing Committee recommends dapagliflozin for treating chronic kidney disease in line with NICE TA 1075
Dapagliflozin will be considered GREEN on the traffic light system.
