Asenapine sublingual tablets have been discontinued and should not be initiated in new patients. Supplies of unlicensed asenapine may be available but additional guidance applies to the prescribing of unlicensed and imported medicines. Existing patients should be reviewed and switched where possible, to a suitable licensed alternative.
